Thoughts of the Veracruz Spanish Immersion School

May 18, 2007 by mariemcc

I’m starting a Spanish conversation class next week and have also been thinking about the Language Immersion School in Veracruz City.  I’m toying with the idea of taking a class there next spring. Can’t think of a better way to spend some vacation time than in a city by the sea that I’m eager to visit and learn some Spanish at the same time.

The school has a Cultural Tourism class that intrigues me. The purpose is to teach you the vocabulary and phrases you’ll need as a tourist. They also will teach you about local buses and show you how to get yourself to nearby towns and villages on your free time on the weekends.

You get internet access as a student and they pick you up at the airport, so even with whatever woefully inadequate Spanish I manage to acquire in a semester or two before I get there, I won’t have to worry about a thing the first time around. Sounds like exactly what I need.

I sent them an email tonight asking for more information.
