Enrolling in the Veracruz Language Immersion School was one of the best things I did on this trip. I’d love to come back again, but next time I’ll concentrate more on the Spanish and less on being a tourist.

This is a reproduction of an Olmec piece. The card next to it stated that the Olmec civilization flowered throughout the states of Veracruz and Tabasco from 1800 to 400 BC. The piece is about 20 inches tall.

After classes today I had an “out and about” scheduled with Miguel. This is a two-hour period of time where the student and teacher go anywhere in Veracruz the student chooses.
